On behalf of all members of our school community, welcome to Schenk!
Schenk Elementary serves approximately 450 students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. The school was built in 1953 and has along, rich history of providing a diverse, inclusive, and engaging education fall all students. We welcome everyone to come be a part of our school community. At Schenk our staff works hard to engage students in meaningful ways to meet all educational standards. We strive for excellence in reading, writing, math, social studies, and science as well as placing a high value on the arts and physical education. In addition, we proactively teach all students what it means to be respectful, responsible, safe, and a learner. Schenk is truly a place where adults and students are engaged and enjoying the learning process. Schenk Elementary is supported by an active PTA. This group of committed families meets regularly to provide leadership and community support to help make our schools successful. We have many, many parent volunteers who work with staff and students in our schools. In addition we have volunteers from Schools of Hope, Door Creek Church (a strong supporter of Schenk), and other community organizations. We welcome you to contribute to our school as well. Please take your time to review our Website. If you have any questions or need more information, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to meeting you.
